England is a good example: when pandemic restrictions have been lifted after 16 months, several clubs, including London’s Fabric and The White Hotel in Manchester, ran day and night non-stop for 42 and 52 h. Although the number of positive cases in UK is still high, many venues and festivals skipped health protocols. On Monday 26th July, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that proof of full vaccination would be needed for admission to nightclubs and other venues with “large crowds” by the end of September. However, a majority of London nightclub operators insisted they would ignore guidance to introduce “covid passport” checks. In France, on 26th July, proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 has been required for entry into nightclubs venues such as cinemas and nightclubs with immediate effect.
What do you think about reasonable health protocol for open-air festivals or parties: attendants should have a valid PCR or full vaccination proof? Or any requirements should be applied?
